The webinar on “Green Roads for Water for Resilience and Recovery” took place on the 15th of April 2020. In this webinar, we discussed the overall approach of Road Water Management and shared the lessons learned from our 5-year experience in promoting and implementing Green Roads for Water programs in different kinds of roads, landscapes and hydrological situations for improved water management and connectivity though roads. The relevance of these programs, this approach to infrastructure, is high in these times of Corona when people’s resilience is being pushed to the limits. Firstly, it helps create new sources of water wherever roads are built and secondly, when built into social safety net and recovery programs, it creates employment as well as better rural roads.
